  This was a first at 7th District during the middle of the week. The Collard Green dip was flavorful. Pita chips accompanied the dish. I ordered the waffles and chicken opting with the red velvet flavor. The red velvet waffle was not good; it had a sour taste. I sent it back and just stuck with the whole chicken wings. They were good. Initially it was suppose to be six people in my party however it ended up being four people. I arrived at 6pm, was greeted, and asked if I could get a table for six, no problem. I would recommend if you have a large group. The atmosphere is cool; R&B music was being played and it was great music. I saw a DJ come in a few minutes before we left. Our waitress was pleasant. This particular day $5 shots were the drink special. We did not order any drinks other than sweet tea and water.

  Another Black Business that won't be around too long.
  
  Came around 1am since the kitchen closes at 4am. Took several minutes to be seated, and once seated the food came to our table in waves 20+minutes apart (there were three of us). One in our party didn't even receive his food and ended up just canceling the order. Asked for sauces and condiments and they were never received. Unless your into bad service, wouldn't recommend this place.
  
  And really a shame because the food didn't taste bad, albeit extremely overpriced. $14.99 for 2 pieces of whiting and grits, and $6.99 for a waffle. So disappointed because it has the potential to be great but I most likely won't be back.

  Save your money and appetite. This was an utterly disappointing experience. We booked reservations for a party of 10 early Sunday to celebrate a birthday. First issue: we arrived promptly and still had to wait an additional 30 minutes before being seated. There were only 5 items on the limited brunch menu. We thought surely service wouldn't be an issue. The second issue: there was no silverware at our table. We had to request it.
  
  Third issue: half of our party did not receive the food they ordered. Somehow it wasn't communicated to the cooks. Fourth issue: they did not want to remove the 18% gratuity. We had to request a manager come out to address our concerns. Fifth Issue: they acted as if these issues were the least of their concerns. It was a essentially a normal day for them. No one came to apologize until we requested to speak with a manager. Our food came out cold . Syrup, hot sauce, straws, and new orders had to be requested multiple times. This is not how we wanted to celebrate a birthday.
  
  Do not waste your money, time, or energy on a business that doesn't care about customer service.

  If I could give no stars I would. I'm livid by the events that took place on April. 6,2019. Mind you this wasn't my first bad experience but I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt and try to support a black owned establishment.
  
  The only okay thing that happened that night was the fact me and my friends were sat fairly quickly. We waited probably 15-20 minutes to place our drink orders. The drinks came another 20 minutes later and my coke had no carbonation so that was another 10 minute wait. Ok no huge biggie but it definitely left a bad taste in my mouth literally. So the waiter takes our order and we waited an hour,which was understandable because it was a lot of people in the building, to only be advised I'm sorry the crab balls that were ordered was out of stock. Are you kidding me ?! We waited an hour for nothing. So he asked my friend what would she like instead but being as it was her first time there she needed the menu which added even more time for us to wait. He did bring the menu back promptly but he never returned to take her order. He finally was bringing other tables food and we had to wave him down. At this point she only wanted friends and we asked about our food because it had been more than enough time for it be done. He said it was coming up shortly and the manager was also coming over to speak to us about the issue. The waiter tried to give us a plate of food that had been sitting on the counter for over 20 minutes. We refused it and continued to watch people that came after us eat, pay, and leave. As the manager came over to our table we vent our frustrations and this man had the nerve to stop in the middle of the conversation to have a friendly chat with another customer. At this point we were done. We wasted two hours and only received bad service because we never got a refill, no food, and a manager that couldn't careless.
  We only stayed because we all were drinking before we got there. I'm also sad because my fiancée actually proposed to me there last year and we had planned on having our 1 year anniversary dinner there. I will never return and I will share my experience on EVERY platform including the BBB.

  Wings were good. Whiting and grits was on the strugglebus. Both needed some sort of seasoning. The highly recommended henny berry drink is not recommended for a guy to drink. For a place with only maybe 4 tables seated, food came out pretty slow. Nice location and I prob would return
